I get so hot that I can’t stand it, and I usually run cold. I feel like it is too much weight. I don’t like this much weight on my feet, and sometimes it tends to slip onto one side. It is ridiculously heavy and hard to make the bed with this and sometimes I need my husband to help me. I can’t imagine putting this in the washing machine because I think it would break any machine that it touches. I can’t believe that they advertise it as such. I wish we had bought a much smaller one and a lighter one. My husband weighs about 175 and I weigh about 110. This is much too weight for me.It's been a few days since I've used this now and I have not woken up during the night at all!I used to wake up at least twice to use the restroom but this blanket has kept me asleep.Very high quality and soft blanket! Make sure to get your correct size and correct weight. For me, since I have a king size bed, I got the king size blanket and the 20 pound version (the rule being 10% of your body weight + 2 to 3 pounds).You will not regret your purchase. This is hands down one of the best ways to invest in yourself; improve your sleep!Have depression? Anxiety? Crippling student debt and just want a hug but you are an introvert and struggle to let people close to you? Then buy this. It takes your mental depression and makes it real depression, it is 25 pounds after all. You'll even get a work out while sleeping as this thing acts as a sleep anchor and really makes you work for that cool side of the pillow. On the topic of hot, this 25 pound moldable piece of sheet metal is surprisingly terrible at insulating. That just means it need helps keeping you warm but won't make you hot in the summer. So do your delivery guy a favor and make leg day, today!It it a perfect weight and size. The material isn't cheap, it can stay warm or cool, and definitely has improved my sleep quality. I feel hugged helping me fall asleep faster and STAY asleep.Nothing beats being snuggled in a warn blanket on a winter's night. This does that. I got the 15lb blanket AND the cover because....cats. I took it off for the summer, but am looking forward to hibernating under it again this winter.While I am sad to report that this blanket will not cause miracles to happen, I can tell you that it's exactly what I wanted it to be.I did quite a bit of product research before buying my model (60''x80'', 25lbs., ice blue). I'm a larger lady and needed somewhere between the 20 lbs. and 25 lbs. models. Ultimately, I went with 25 lbs., because let's be honest, I'm not getting any thinner these days. Some days it feels too heavy. Other days I'm like, "LET'S AMP IT UP!" and double my blanket over so that I am smothered by the weight of my inner demons. I mean glass beads. The weight of the glass beads.Pros:-I love that the company thought about making this blanket multi-seasonal. I have the cotton outside layer on my blanket for when it's hot and was able to purchase a minky cover to prep it for use in winter. Come next Spring/Summer, I'll purchase a bamboo duvet because I'm not going to destroy my washing machine by attempting to clean this thing. Note: I wholeheartedly recommend trying the blanket first, and then deciding if the duvet is worth the investment.-I find that it signals my body that it's time for bed more than just a normal comforter. It's like my body feels the weight and says, "I didn't want to get up again anyway." Do I still doomscroll for the next hour? Yes, I do! But when I finally decide to go to sleep, it's an easier transition.-It came with a handy little bag to keep it in when not in use.-The cotton outer fabric is really forgiving. I needed to clean something with hydrogen peroxide and the color was unbothered. Yesssss!! (As of now I have a duvet on it full-time.)-I don't have problems falling asleep when I only have a standard comforter/blanket. I was worried that I'd get too used to the weight. Nope. It's fine.-I toss and turn less because this thing is like LOLNO.-My husband cannot steal the blanket from me in his sleep.-It's kind of an amazing blanket to snuggle under while reading a good book on a rainy day.Cons:-With a price like this, I knew that the batting (the inside layers surrounding the glass beads) was going to be synthetic. What I didn't know is how hot it would be! It's been perfect for Fall, but during Summer, it was SWELTERING.-It's quite big for one person. (Pictured: the blanket "for one" spread out on a Queen-sized bed.)-Sometimes when I wake up the parts of my body directly against the blanket are numb. It's like whole areas of my body "go to sleep."-My husband and I now sleep with separate blankets and it's new to me. It's both a Pro and a Con I guess?-It has not taken away my Millennial anxiety or continuous existential dread, but I CAN say that it does provide extra feelings of comfort when I'm curled up into my safety fetal position.This blanket was cute and the weight was comforting, good for anxiety, and pressed down on you without feeling too heavy or suffocating. Would buy again.Did I get a knock-off blanket? For some reason the item was not as described! From the description the pockets are to be 4.7" by 4.7" and the blanket I received is 6" by 6.5".I knew something was up because the performance of the blanket was not nearly as nice as my other weighted blanket with the weight shifting a lot and not applying a constant pressure to my legs. Not sure why I received this dud.I live in Alberta Canada with both extreme hits and colds and so far in the heat I’m enjoying the weight and that this blanket keeps me feeling cool in a hot room. I tend to overheat easily and am very pleased that I feel cool compared to hotter room temperatures.-60x80 covers just the queen mattress so go larger for more coverage- comes packaged neatly and the blanket is evenly weighted and feels durable.-at approx 25+- degrees room temps the blanket feels cool while fully covered. No kicking my legs out of the blanket because I’m overheating!!- the weight is evenly distributed and nicely conforms to my body like hug.-I will update my review come colder seasons but as of now I am very pleased.(TL:DR at bottom)So I think I am a person who can really benefit from a weighted blanket. I wake up fairly consistently (every 2-3hours) and haven’t had a solid 8 hours of sleep in so long I can’t remember when the last time would be. The first night I woke up once and it was from a loud noise, so I’m already happy with the purchase and actually woke up feeling rested.My only complaints are that:1. I ordered dark grey and it’s navy blue (I don’t really care but that shouldn’t get mixed up)2. After I washed the blanket it does seem like some edge “pockets” have more beads than others and that tells me the stitching between sectors is leaking a little. Nothing has leaked OUT of the blanket but that isn’t a good sign.3. The blanket has a faint scent, now it is in no way offensive, but after I washed it with plenty of detergent I’d expect it to be gone but maybe with weighted blankets that is common and I’m unaware of that.4. The outer material itself isn’t the softest but I understand you should use a duvet cover with it but I hate duvet covers.TL:DR:I sleep much better with this blanketreceived navy blue when I ordered dark greyEach “sector” has different amounts of beads suggesting there are “leaks” between themI haven’t had any leak OUT of the blanket yet but that doesn’t bode well for only one wash/sleep.Will update if anything changes.I'll probably be returning this. All of the seams are coming undone after few weeks of use. All the weights are roaming freely inside the blanket. I'm really dissatisfied by the poor quality of this blanketUPDATE: I'm also very dissatisfied by the company. I contacted them to see whether a replacement was possible and got no answer whatsoever. I'll be returning this for sureFirst 3-4 nights I wasn't sure about it but once I got used to it I began to love it. My fitbit ionic tracker shows a significant increase in sleep quality since I got it. My REM sleep in particular shows frequently at double the amount I was getting before the blanket. Not sure if it will be too warm for me in the summer but otherwise I am extremely happy with the purchase. I weigh 204 pounds so I thought about getting the 25 pound one, but I took the 20 pound one and I feel like it was the right choice for me. The 25 pound one might have been a bit too heavy.
